About Me

Bones for Life

July 6, 2018

You may know that I was a Feldenkrais practitioner years ago and I credit that with my good movement practices throughout my life. I haven’t done any real exercise since I gave up dance 3 years ago but my daily walks with the dog and deep breathing keep me fit.

Now I came across Ruthy Alon’s work with Feldenkrais again. She was one of Moshe Feldenkrais’ earliest students and now is close to 90. She has a program called Bones for Life that is on dvds that you can download. I love Ruthy so I signed up right away.

I downloaded 24 90 minute segments and I am doing half a segment every day if possible. It has totally revived my movement! I straightened up more and I walk better already. I realized I had been giving into the aging BS message from the culture and I’ve kicked that to the curb again πŸ˜‰

She has a long cloth wrap that you can use to do a lot of the movements and eventually I will be putting it on my head like a crown so I can emulate the wonderful women in Africa carrying big loads and having strong, flexible bones all their lives. You can make your own out of 7 yds of 36 inch wide non-stretch cotton.

So here are some sample videos that you can watch to see if you would be interestedΒ http://www.movementintelligence.org/video.html and here

And here is where you can read more about it and order the program. She has other programs as well that I will get when I have finished this one. There is also a short version with 6 lessonsΒ  http://bonesforlife.com/

There are also video clips made by various practitioners on youtube.

Here is my honest assessment after looking at the program with new eyes πŸ˜‰ It’s been 30 years since I was a practitioner!

Ruthy’s Feldenkrais teaches how to be present in your body, how to move in small increments and short lessons that add up over a six day workshop to real change.

It feels strange at first. We are not accustomed to paying attention to small movements of the body. I am so grateful they put it on video because it is too much to learn all at once IMHO.

But, walking around after each segment, you get to feel the difference in your body; your breathing becomes more open, your stiffness melts away, your restrictions in movement from old injuries are gently released. I know that from watching the people in the videos. They are totally different at the end of the 6 days.

It’s not for people who go to the gym and work their muscles out hard enough to create endorphins. It’s about learning more about this beautiful body we live in and how it was supposed to move. A push on the foot is supposed to go up through your entire body and raise the head; not get trapped and diverted by a twerky shoulder or a crooked neck.

I am so grateful to have found this work again and to have the time and space to do it daily.

You can also find teachers who have been through this program and who teach it in segments. Most cities have Feldenkrais practitioners now.

This program beats any ‘exercise’ based program for bones out there. It teaches your brain the better ways to move your body and your brain never forgets completely. With it you can recover slowly and carefully from injury. It requires patience, persistence and a willingness to follow instructions even when your mind doesn’t get it πŸ˜‰ Remember, the mind is the last to KNOW anything πŸ˜‰ Knowing is a brain, heart and gut combo.

So, I don’t get any commission from this. I just want all of you wonderful, intelligent women who I talk to about my vest to have a new tool.

Blessings,

Pam

Update on Magnesium and Bone Drugs

May 21, 2018

I have been really busy so far this year with repairing the damage to my son’s house from the fires and mudslides here in the Santa Barbara area. I’m finally done with that and realized I needed to update some of the information on the site. I am going to remove the supplement videos I made long ago. Supplements have changed a lot since I did those! I’ll do the new recommendations next, but, for now, I really recommend GreenMedInfo for all the natural health information backed up by scientific studies – honest ones, not like the ones the drug companies put out. It’s an amazing site with an enormous amount of information.

So here is a piece about magnesium from their article here

“Build Strong Bones.

Studies find a significant association between bone density and magnesium levels. But magnesium content of bones decreases with age. In addition, sugar and alcohol cause magnesium to be lost through the urine.

Magnesium assists calcium in building bone strength, but it does much more.Β  It stimulates the hormone calcitonin.Β  That helps draw calcium out of the blood and soft tissues and put it back into the bones. Too much calcium in the blood and tissues can increase the risk of arthritis, heart attack, and kidney stones, as well as osteoporosis.

And getting more magnesium may mean you need less than the government’s recommended 1,200 mg of calcium per day.Β  One study in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition found that increasing magnesium while lowering calcium to 500 mg per day was enough to increase bone density.”

So that is pretty much what I have been saying for the last ten years.

There has also been a new study of the bisphosphonate drugs that shows the drugs were not only ineffective in creating stronger bones but they actually created microcracks that weakened bone significantly. (Ma et al, 2017) This is after the patent expired and the drug companies have made billions for years on this stuff.Β  Doctors are now pushing Prolia, which is the same poison but much stronger.

Meantime, over the last ten years, while I’ve been waiting for the drug scams to come to the surface, I have been experimenting with whole new areas of health with various tools of frequency, sound and light impregnated with information for our body-fields. It’s fascinating, but still very expensive.

I did discover something recently that I will try out on June 3, Potentiate Your DNA. I’m reading the book right now and he is doing a group potentiation on that date. You can check into that here. I have not recommended any of this so-called woo-woo stuff before because I have a very mixed audience here. The only thing we really have in common is weak bones. But, judging by the women I talk with on the phone, I think we are all seeing clearly that the present health system is broken – and that’s because the drug companies have run the medical schools and the FDA for years. When you make the kind of profits they are making you can buy the whole government – and they did!

Ten years ago I was afraid to say any of this because, first, the older ladies just loved their doctors and did whatever they said, and second, I was afraid BigPharma would send one of their thugs to my door. But I’m small potatoes, and now I’m too old to be scared.

So I have several more things to share and I’ll add some more blogs asap. The supplements one will be next. Off and on over the years I have taken handfuls of supplements or none or just a few, and I have come to the same conclusion as many experts. You don’t need most of them! But you do need to eat good, grow-your-own, or organic food! Everything else has been poisoned!

Dr Mercola, who I followed for years, has often said that he only takes half a dozen supplements himself but he sells about a hundred to anyone who will buy them.

This is a wacky new world we are living in, and what’s coming down the pike often looks very scary, so don’t get sucked into the doom and gloom. Hold a thought of a brave, new, safe and loving world and you’ll be helping to create it.

Lots of love

Pam

Happy New Year, Sisters!

January 8, 2018

I start out 2018 in enormous gratitude! The Thomas Fire came so close to my mobile home that I evacuated twice, then came back home to lie on the couch at night and watch the flames creep down the hillside.

I had been remodeling for 4 months, doing most of the work myself, learning lots of new skills, and my home was finally becoming a wonderful nest full of art and stuff I’ve collected from all over the world. It was impossible to know what to take with me in my little car with the dog and the cat. Each time I evacuated I packed different stuff! What a wonderful lesson that was!

And now I am grateful for something else that I recently discovered – Tree Sisters! This is an organization born from the dream of one woman who is combining the growing of trees in the sub-tropics and the re-education of women all over the world to come together and be the best that they can be.

We can change the dead-end path the world is now on. Move from being a consumer species to a restorer species.

We are at the edge of extinction! The facts are real and concrete about how many species of animals, plants, insects – every life form – are going extinct every day now from mankind’s indifference and exploitation.

But we all came here at this time to make the shift into the New Earth and we all have a part to play. I have signed on to be a treesister and I will donate all I can to the cause, including a ten percent tithe on the $35- I make, labor and profit, on the vests.

I have spent the last 3 years in awakening to the evil that believes it owns our planet and saying ‘What can I do?’
Now I know what I can do – join hands with women all over the globe in reforesting, re-educating, restoring, pulling women up from sexual slavery and indentured servitude. The feminine is coming into it’s own now and it will take us all holding hands to restore the damage that has been done.

And I have to say I have enormous confidence in the special abilities of humans to work towards good. I know most of us are deeply brainwashed and hardly have time to look up from working, eating and sleeping, from all our responsibilities, but, when we do wake up and look around, we will be a power that has never before been seen.

And the good men will support us! The ones who aren’t addicted to success, meaning money and prestige and power.

So this may be too Woo-woo for some of my customers but I’m done apologizing for that πŸ˜‰

And for those who want to explore TreeSisters just click on the link and you’ll be taken to the website.

May this year be blessed in every way for all of you. I actually send love to all my customers, past, present and future, in my meditations and have done for years πŸ˜‰

Blessings and new Hope,

Pam

Silica Is Another Mineral We Need.

February 16, 2017

I recently recommended Boron to improve the ability of our bones to store calcium. Now I am adding Silica to my list.

When your bones are damaged it is important to take sufficient amounts of silica daily. Bones are composed of magnesium, calcium, phosphorus and silica. Silica diminishes fractures by depositing minerals into the bones, especially calcium. Many studies on silica indicate that through a process of transmutation silica transforms into calcium when is needed.

We used to get silica from whole grains but, when the outer husk of the grain was taken off this was stripped away. Now our diet is usually very deficient in it.

Symptoms of Possible Deficiency:
Osteoporosis, osteo-arthritis, joint pain and weakness, hair loss, heart burn, acid indigestion, GERD, weak teeth and gums, weak skin, brittle nails, and fibromyalgia.

Another thing that silica does is to escort aluminum out of the body so it is becoming increasingly important to make sure you have a regular daily supply. Aluminum is implicated in Alzheimer’s, as is excess calcium so it is worth taking daily silica to prevent that occurring.

There are many ways of taking silica, including horsetail herb, diatomaceous earth and various supplements but most of the studies are done with orthosilicic acid and I think the liquid is better absorbed than any powder and easier to take.

What I am doing now is having a first morning drink of warm water with Ionic trace minerals, Angstrom boron and Organo liquid silica to start off my day. You could also add lemon juice if you like.

I know everyone would prefer a one step solution to all their health problems but since our lives and nutrition are so out of whack now we have to make a bit more effort to cover all the deficiencies.

I hope this helps,
Pam

Some Thoughts About Falling

January 21, 2017

Most of the statistics on death from Osteoporosis deal with women over 81 having falls and breaking or fracturing bones. This leads to long bedcare and often total disruption of health, then death.

I remember reading that half of these women did not test with fragile bones. It depends on the way you fall and the surface you fall on whether or not your bones will break. It is random and the drugs won’t help you!! I can’t remember the source but if you search for it you should find it.

So after a couple of interesting phone calls from people about falls, I actually fell myself twice this month, the second time today.

The first time was at the beach on slippery rocks with a leashed dog and my granddaughter. Since we were chatting I wasn’t paying as much attention as usual – I wasn’t conscious and awake to my position in space. I fell right down on the rock and caught myself with my hand and knee. I got right up and I had grazed the palm of my hand but I was fine – nothing broken!

Today I fell at the Farmer’s Market, tripping over a car block painted black with the sun in my eyes. I went straight down, this time with the back of my hand and my knee getting scraped up but nothing broken.

I’m 72 and feel very vigorous and strong so I’m not in the target yet and I don’t intend to sit down long enough to become frail and inflexible.
The only history I have with broken bones is an accident falling off a chair when I was hanging something just out of reach when I was 45. I heard my wrist snap as it hit the wall. Then a few years ago I fell in a drainage ditch in the pitch dark and broke 2 metatarsals (toes). That was a very hard fall but with little negative impact. The toes healed fast and I was dancing again in a couple of months.

So the point I’m making is that most danger from osteoporosis comes from falls, which really can’t be anticipated and which the drugs don’t help even if you believe in them. Walking with a weight vest is good to build bone and yoga is good to build flexibility so that in a fall your body reacts quickly to protect you. Turning off the tv and getting off the couch is also essential to avoid falls because it reduces complacency and the trance state that the mind-controlled tv encourages.

As for getting upset about your numbers on the Dexa test – I recently had a spate of younger women get bad numbers on their tests and I had an intuitive flash that the drug companies who make the machines were rigging the tests. I have no proof and I wouldn’t have said anything years ago when I started this site but so much dire information of lying, cheating and greed from the drug companies has come out in the years since then that I really think it’s quite likely. The patent ran out on the bisphosphonates so they have thought up some new drugs that are way worse so be careful what you put in your body.

The drug companies are not on our side! Their own leaked memos have admitted they want all women to be on at least 10 drugs for life so that their profits continue to rise. This is all getting out now and we are headed for more revelations of fraud soon so it’s time to wake up and do the research. That’s part of the reason that I don’t give links. I don’t want you believing me any more than them. Check for yourself – askapatient.com is a good source for actual patient feedback but a search engine will give you more drug news. Not google, they are not honest. I use duckduckgo.com.

Blessings

Pam
